Jackson Douglas (born Douglas Fredrick Jackson; 1969) is an American actor. He is known for his role as Jackson Belleville in the television series Gilmore Girls, for which he's also directed the Season 5 episode To Live and Let Diorama and Season 6 episode Welcome to the Dollhouse. He directed two Season 1 episodes of Bunheads (co-created by Amy Sherman-Palladino), episode 7 "What's Your Damage, Heather" and episode 13 "I'll Be your Meyer Lansky". He also wrote and directed the movie short Brown Eyed Girl.
Personal life
Douglas was born, in 1969, in Kent, Washington, and graduated from Kentridge High School. He later attended Washington State University. Douglas met voice-actress Alex Borstein (MadTV and Family Guy) while performing at the ACME Comedy Theater in Los Angeles. He proposed to her during the taping of a MadTV skit, and married her in 1999. They have a son, Barnaby Borstein Douglas, who was born on September 8, 2008. Also during his time at the Acme Theater, Douglas met and became roommates with actor/comedian Adam Carolla. According to Carolla, when Douglas was younger, he had a shopping cart in his room, on the third story of an apartment building.
Career with His Wife
Douglas and Borstein made the 2009 comedy film For Christ's Sake, starring Sara Rue and Borstein, Douglas directed. The film has received generally poor reviews.
