Jack Mathews

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jack Nicholsen Mathews is a Canadian musician and actor. He was a member of the alternative rock group Leslie Spit Treeo in the late 1980s and early 1990s.[1] He left the band amicably in 1993 to pursue acting, although he continued to work with the band occasionally as a guest musician.

To avoid confusion with the much more famous Jack Nicholson, he has frequently been credited as Jack Nichols or J. D. Nicholsen. In 1997, he married Cindy Matthews, the manager of Toronto's Cameron House live music club, and adopted her surname as his stage name (although he continues to use the surname Nicholsen when performing as a musician.)

His acting credits include Perfectly Normal, I Love a Man in Uniform and the television series Due South.

He currently performs with The Cameron Family Singers, who he claims sing beautifully. He is still very good friends with his old two band members Laura Hubert and Pat Langner. Langner is currently living in Edmonton, Alberta with his two kids and wife.
