József Árpád Habsburg (Joseph Arpád Benedikt Ferdinand Franz Maria Gabriel, born 1933), is a member of the Hungarian Palatine branch of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine.

He was born in Budapest the son of Archduke Joseph Francis of Austria, and his wife Princess Anna of Saxony. He is the great-grandson of Archduke Joseph of Austria, Count Palatine of Hungary.,^[1]

He is a Knight of the Golden Fleece (number 1274)^[2] and a General Captain of the Order of Vitéz, a rank and title was banned in the Republic of Hungary by Statute IV of 1947 regarding the abolition of certain titles and ranks (Hungary).

Family

Joseph Arpád married in 1956 Maria von Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg, daughter of Karl, 8th Prince of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg and Carolina dei Conti Rignon . They had eight children:
