Ivana Chubbuck is an acting coach and author and is the founder and director of the Ivana Chubbuck Studio in Los Angeles. Her students have included Brad Pitt, Halle Berry, Terrence Howard, Elisabeth Shue, Catherine Keener, Djimon Honsou, America Ferrera, Eva Mendes, Kate Bosworth, Ian Somerhalder, Dwayne Cameron, April Bowlby and Glenn McCuen.

She has also worked with: Jim Carrey, Jessica Alba, Radha Mitchell, Carrie-Anne Moss, Garry Shandling, Jessica Biel, Amy Brenneman, Kate Walsh, Judith Light, Amy Smart, Marcia Cross, Jared Leto, David Spade, Matthew Perry, David Boreanaz,[1] Emily Deschanel, Ali Larter and Beyoncé Knowles.

Her book is entitled: The Power of the Actor: The Chubbuck Technique. The book is described as: "The 12-Step Acting technique That Will Take You From Script to a Living, Breathing, Dynamic Character".

The Power of the Actor has been adopted for use as a textbook in many colleges and universities across the country, as well as being translated into a number of languages around the world.

Ivana has also taught at The Juilliard School of Drama in New York.

Ivana Chubbuck was honored by The Russian International Film Festival (she is of Russian descent) with a lifetime achievement award for her contributions to the film industry alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, William Friedkin, and Francis Ford Coppola.

She is married to director Lyndon Chubbuck and grew up in Southfield, Michigan, before moving to Los Angeles in 1973.[2]
