Iván Aguilar Díaz (born 12 June 1991) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Gimnàstic de Tarragona as a forward.

Football career

Born in Benalmádena, Province of Málaga, Aguilar finished his formation with local Málaga CF, making his senior debuts with the B-team in the 2010–11 season, in the fourth division. In April 2011 he signed a new two-year deal with the Andalusians,[1] appearing with the first team in the pre-season match against Valencia CF in September.[2]

In August 2012, free agent Aguilar went on a trial at MSV Duisburg.[3] However, nothing came of it, and he joined SC Austria Lustenau in Austria.[4][5] He made his professional debut on 21 September, playing the last two minutes of a 0–0 away draw against Kapfenberger SV for the second level championship.[6]

On 19 August 2013, after only one season, Aguilar returned to Spain, signing with freshly relegated team Xerez CD.[7] After being the club's topscorer with 13 goals in only 14 matches, he signed with Gimnàstic de Tarragona in Segunda División B, being assigned to the Catalans' farm team.[8] [9]
