Itas/Gadau is a Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Itas Itesiwaju. The town of Gadau is in the east of the area at 11°50′08″N 10°10′02″E / 11.83556°N 10.16722°E.
It has an area of 1,398 km² and a population of 229,996 at the 2006 census.
The predominant ethnic group in the area are the Hausa[1] in common with the other divisions of the state.
