Itararé

Coordinates: 24°06′45″S 49°19′54″W / 24.11250°S 49.33167°W Itararé is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population in 2004 was 48,973 and the area is 1005.8 km². The elevation is 740 m. This place name comes from the Tupi language.
