Islamic Front Bangladesh (Bengali: ইসলামিক ফ্রন্ট বাংলাদেশ) is a political party in Bangladesh. In December 2006, the IFB aligned itself with the Awami League-led 'Grand Alliance'.[2][3]
Allama Sayed Bahadur Shah Mujaddedi is the president of the party, Allama Khandaker Golam Mawla Nakshibadi is the Vice President and Abul Rashar Mohammad Zainul Abedin (Zubaer) its secretary.[1][4]
The goal of the party is the creation of a society based on Sunni philosophy. It considers that the main Islamist party in Bangladesh, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, is distorting Islam.[5]
