Iris milesii is a native of Northwest India, with another population possible in China, though there have been no recent sightings there. It grows on forest edges, open groves, and damp places. The pale reddish flowers are 7 to 8 cm (2.8 to 3.1 in) in diameter, blooming in April-May.[1]
