Iris, Texas

Iris is a farm town in Trinity County, Texas about 16 miles from Trinity. It is located on FM 357. A school was founded around 1887 and a post office in 1900. The post office closed in 1912 and the school later consolidated with Apple Springs School. By 1990 only a few houses remained.
