Irina Mikhailovna Dobrekova (Russian: Ири́на Миха́йловна Добряко́ва; February 16, 1931, Leningrad, USSR) - Soviet Russian painter, Graphic artist, living and working in Saint Petersburg, a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists (before 1992 named as the Leningrad branch of Union of Artists of Russian Federation),[1] regarded as one of the representatives of the Leningrad school of painting.[2]
Biography
Irina Mikhailovna Dobrekova was born February 16, 1931, in Leningrad, USSR.
In 1961, Irina Dobrekova graduated from Higher School of Art and Industry named after Vera Mukhina in Alexander Kazantsev workshop, where she studied of Piotr Buchkin, Arseny Semionov, and Lev Chegorovsky.
Irina Dobrekova has participated in Art Exhibitions Since 1960. She paint portraits, landscapes, still lifes, genre scenes, work in easel oil and tempera painting.
In her art plein air style of 1950-1960 later was replaced on inventing motives and interest to transfer of internal tension and latent drama in themes, where at first glance, nothing happens. Her still lifes with fruit of 1980s years is distinguished by bright intense color and sharp composition.
Irina Dobrekova is a member of Saint Petersburg Union of Artists (before 1992 - the Leningrad branch of Union of Artists of Russian Federation) since 1972.[3]
Paintings by Irina Dobrekova reside in Art museums and private collections of Russia, France, Germane, Finland, in the U.S., England, and in other countries.
