Irene Schmidt is a retired Dutch table tennis player who competed at the 1972, 1976 and 1980 Summer Paralympics in the individual and team events. She won three gold and one bronze medals in 1972 and 1976 and finished in fourth place in both events in 1980.[1] She married between the 1972 and 1976 Games and since 1976 competed as van Buren-Schmidt.[2]
