Irakleio B.C., also spelled Iraklio, or Heraklion, is a Greek professional basketball club that is based in the city of Heraklion, on the island of Crete, in Greece.
History
The team had its best years so far in the late 1990s, when Irakleio played in the Greek A1 League with several appearances in the league's play-offs. In the 1997-98 season, the team beat Aris in both matches of their first round playoff series and finished seventh overall in the league. Which is still the club's best season performance so far. The club also played in the Korać Cup during the 1998-99 season. Today, the club competes in the lower Greek basketball divisions.
