Ipoh–Lumut Expressway, ILE, is an expressway in Perak, Malaysia.

Route background

This highway was actually the Federal Route 5 . It was then upgraded into a highway without tolls and with traffic light junctions and a few Multi - level interchanges (eg: Diamond Interchange). But the traffic lights were fitted with a remote sensing thus reducing the time to travel from Ipoh to Lumut from 90 minutes to 30 minutes.
