The Iowa–Nebraska football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Iowa Hawkeyes football team of the University of Iowa and Nebraska Cornhuskers football team of the University of Nebraska. The Heroes Trophy has been awarded to the winner of the game since 2011. Nebraska leads the overall series 28–13–3.

Iowa victories are shaded ██ black. Nebraska victories are shaded ██ red. Ties are white.

Pre-Big Ten Era

The two schools met often throughout the 1890s and the first half of the 20th century, however they played each other only six times in the second half of the 20th century.

Heroes Trophy Era

Nebraska joined the Big Ten in 2011. As Iowa and Nebraska are both in the Legends Division (and both will be in the West Division when the Big Ten adds Maryland and Rutgers), this game will be played every year, having a permanent place on Black Friday.
