"Invitation" is the debut extended play by the South Korean singer Ailee. It was released on October 16, 2012. The songs "Heaven" and "I'll Show You" were used for promote the EP.

Details

On October 11, 2012, Ailee revealed the cover of her upcoming mini album. YMC Entertainment commented, "Ailee's first mini-album will go on sale on the 16th… Through this album, you'll be able to witness the maturing of Ailee's appearance as well as her musical style."[1] The mini album contain 6 tracks.[2] It was produced by producers such as Kim Do Hoon, Lee Hyun Seung, Park Guentae, Double Sidekick, Wheesung, and featured artists such as Verbal Jint, Swings and Simon D.[3]

Release

On February 6, the music video teaser for Ailee's debut song, Heaven, was released. Heaven was written and produced by Wheesung.[4] On the 9th, Ailee released the song and the music video, which featured Beast's Gi Kwang.[5][6] Later that day, she made her debut stage performance of "Heaven" on M.net M! Countdown,[7] and then on SBS Inkigayo on February 11.[8]

On October 16, Ailee released her music video for her title track of the mini album, “I’ll Show You“, which featured MBLAQ's G.O. In addition to the music video, she also released her mini album called 'Invitation.'[9] On October 18, Ailee made her comeback with "I'll Show You"" on M! Countdown.[10]

On December 7, 2012 Ailee has officially begun follow up promotions with “Evening Sky“ on KBS's Music Bank.[11]
