Internet Group (also known as "iG") is a Brazilian online service provider and internet service provider. iG gained popularity by offering free dial-up access, a service that is still being provided.
It was founded in January 9, 2000, by GP Investments and Banco Opportunity.
In May 2004, the Brazilian telecommunications company Brasil Telecom acquired Internet Group for about US$ 100 Million.[1]
