International Dance Organization

The International Dance Organization (IDO) is an international dance organization founded as a non-profit organization on September 18, 1981.[1][2][3] Cynthia Winton-Henry is a co-founder.[4]

In 1993, it honored Frankie Manning in Hungary for his Contribution to the World of Dance.[5] In 2000 and 2002 it hosted the Official IDO World Salsa Championships.[6][7]

It became an International DanceSport Federation affiliate member in 2004 to achieve International Olympic Committee recognition.[8]
