Inspire was Christina Aguilera's fourth Women's fragrance to be released worldwide, however only the first perfume to be released from the singer-songwriter in the United States. The perfume was created with Procter & Gamble and endorsed with Aguilera. The tagline for the fragrance was "Follow Your Inspiration". The perfume was released in early September 2008 throughout the world.
Information
Aguilera mentioned in an interview that this fragrance was supposed to give off "a modern take on the Pop Art era" as well as a reflection of “the energy and excitement” of Tokyo, Japan.[2]
The press release of the perfume stated:

The fragrance encapsulates everything that Christina Aguilera is with a scent that shows a lady who wants to stand out from the crowd and inspire others to strive for their dreams. The femininity of the fragrance celebrates the female form and helps women feel sexier and proud of who they are. This beautiful, sexy and distinctive young fragrance perfectly captures the elements that make Christina a superstar today, which means that her fans will not be disappointed with the fragrance.
The fragrance became Aguilera's second number one selling perfume in both the United Kingdom and Germany over the 2008 Christmas period.
Advertisements and promotion
The advertisements created for the fragrance were directed by David LaChapelle and feature Aguilera walking through a pop-art inspired Tokyo at night time using the element of a bubble that takes Aguilera out from the dark and into a colourful art-inspired future.
For promotion, Aguilera did a day of signings at New York City's Herald Square Macy's store for fans in September 2008. A second signing, in December 2008, at LA's Glendale Galleria Macy's followed.
Ingredients
Inspire is a beautiful white floral, with a lightness of touch, twisted with colourful fruit notes. This is a fragrance that's classic and enduring; sweetly feminine and sexy, with a vibrant freesia top note and a heart of beautiful Tuberose flower, one of Christina's favourite ingredients.[3]
Products
Inspire is an eau de parfum, and is available in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml bottles. The perfume is presented in a tear shaped bottle coloured in silver with a chrome lid indented with the initial 'CA' on top with red accents around the edge. The packaging is a deep red with silver decorative patterns and writing and a surprise pop art influenced pattern on the inside.
