Infogroup is a data and marketing services company that provides products and services to generate sales leads, find new customers, and develop direct mail, email and telemarketing campaigns. It is based in Papillion, Nebraska, employs 1,900 people and operates in 9 countries.

Its database contains information on 25 million businesses, and 235 million consumers.

History

Infogroup traces its roots to 1972, with the formation of Business Research Service in Omaha, Nebraska. The company has operated under several names, including American Business Information and infoUSA.[3] The company was renamed Infogroup in 2008.[4] In July 2010, Infogroup was acquired by CCMP Capital Advisors, which took the company private. Michael L. Iaccarino is the current CEO.[5]
