The Indore Metro is a rapid transit proposed for the city of Indore, India. The total system consists of 3 corridors covering a distance of 33.26 km.[3] This project will cost 85 billion (US$1.4 billion) approximately.[4]
History
On 20 December 2011, Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan asked the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for Indore Metro project at a cost of 60 million (US$960,000).[5] The cost of preparing DPR will be shared by state and the Centre in 20:80 ratio. The DMRC will submit the DPR within 6 months.[6]
Plan
Three corridors have been proposed by DMRC.
- Annapurna to Sukhliya (10 km, 8 stations)
- Super Corridor MR 10 to Ring Road (11.79 km, 11 stations)
- Niranjanpura to Bhawarkuwa (11.47 km, 11 stations)
