The Indore–Pune Express (Marathi:इंदूर – पुणे एक्स्प्रेस, Hindi:इंदौर – पुणे एक्सप्रेस) is a Mail/Express Train of the Indian Railways, which runs between Indore Junction railway station of Indore, the largest city & commercial hub of Central Indian state Madhya Pradesh and Pune Junction of Pune, the commercial hub of neighbouring state Maharashtra.

Arrival and departure

Train no.19312 departs from Indore every Monday, Thursday and Friday at 14:00 hrs. from platform 5 reaching Pune the next day at 08:40 hrs. Train no.19311 departs from Pune, every Tuesday Friday and Saturday at 15:20 hrs., reaching Indore the next day at 08:30 hrs.

Loco link

The train is hauled by Ratlam RTM WDM-3 Diesel engine from Indore to Ujjain, WAP4 from Ujjain to Vadodara and WCAM1 from Vadodara to Pune.

With Indore–Ujjan getting recently electrified, this train will run with Vadodara based WAP-4 from Indore to Vadodara. Once Kalyan station is energized with AC power, this train will run end to end with a WAM-4/WAP-4.

Rake maintenance and sharing

The train is maintained by the Indore Coaching Depot. The same rake is used for Indore–Nagpur Express and Shipra Express for one way which is altered by the second rake on the other way.
