Ilkeston railway station is planned to serve the town of Ilkeston, Derbyshire, England. It will be located on a site near to Ilkeston Junction railway station. It is to be served by Northern Rail Nottingham to Leeds services and possibly by East Midlands Trains. It will be located between Nottingham railway station and Langley Mill railway station.

New station fund

As part of the new station fund set out in March 2013, Ilkeston, Pye Corner and Lea Bridge were narrowed down as the three most likely stations to open or reopen, with the final announcement in May 2013.[1][2]

Funding was confirmed in May 2013, with the station due to open in 2014.[3] It will have two platforms, automated ticket machines, a 150-space car park and a taxi rank.
