Ii Naochika

In this Japanese name, the family name is "Ii".
Ii Naochika (井伊 直親, 1506 - January 8, 1560) was a Japanese samurai of the Sengoku period, who served the Imagawa clan. It was planned that he would marry Ii Naomori's daughter Naotora but then he fled to Shinano, to avoid committing suicide caused by a slender from an Imagawa retainer. Later he went back to Imagawa but he had already brought a new wife. Once again he got a nasty slander and then finally he was executed by Imagawa Ujizane.
His son Ii Naomasa was adopted by Naotora then, and became a feared general under Tokugawa Ieyasu who is considered one of his Four Guardians.
