Iftakar Chowdhury (Bangla: ইফতেখার চৌধুরী) is a Bangladeshi film director. He started his career as a director with the film Khoj: The Search, which starred Ananta Jalil, Barsha and Bobby; Iftakar played a small role. The film was released in 2010, and introduced new technologies in Dhallywood.[1]

Early life and education

Though he was born in a Bangladeshi family, he was brought up in New York City. He completed his secondary education from La Guardia High School, later graduating from the College of Staten Island. [citation needed]

Career

He started his career with Khoj: The Search, which did well at the box office.[2] His second movie was Dehorokkhi, starring Anisur Rahman Milon,[3] Bobby and Kazi Maruf, which was released in 2013.[4] It was a success at the box office.[5][6] His third film, Agnee, is scheduled to be released in February 2014.[7][8][9] He started shooting Action Jasmine from December 2013. It will be a remake of Hindi movie Rowdy Rathore where Bobby will be found in an action avatar instead of Akshay Kumar.[10]
