Idris Azad (Urdu: ادریس آزاد, born Idrees Ahmad Urdu: ادریس احمد) on August 7, 1969,[1][2] is an author,[3] philosopher, novelist, poet, dramatist and columnist. He has written several books on fiction, journalism, critic, poetry, philosophy, mysticism and art.[4]
Biography
Azad was born in the house of Qari Saeed Ahmad Asad, son of the religious scholar Muhammad Ismail,[2] in the town of Khushab in Punjab, Pakistan.[2] He wrote his first poem when he was still at primary school. He received his secondary education in Jauhar Abad. He graduated in 1989 from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, and post graduated from the University of the Punjab, Lahore.[2] He gained his Masters degree in Philosophy from the same University.[5] He had three brothers and four sisters.[citation needed] He also has four children; three sons and one daughter.[citation needed]

Guzashta shab jo hasti bar faraz e daar thi main tha
(گزشتہ شب جو ہستی برفرازِ دار تھی، میں تھا)
Phir aglay din jo surkhi shaokat e akhbar thi main tha
(پھر اگلے دن جو سرخی شوکت اخبار تھی ،میں تھا)
Jahaan tasweer banwaany ki khaatir log aatay thay
(جہاں تصویر بنوانے کی خاطر لوگ آتے تھے)
Wahaan pas manzar e tasweer jo deewaar thi main tha
(وہاں پسِ منظر تصویر جو دیوار تھی ، میں تھا)
Translation
Yesterday, a man was crucified, that was me
Next day, the dignity of newspaper was my death’s news
Where, there people came for getting their portraits painted
The silent wall behind them which was the background of those picture was me
Philosophy
Azad has published on Biosocialogy.[6] He claims that every living organism on Earth is tightly attached to it. He calls this Earth-Rootlessness.[6] He asserts that nearer the earth degrades the value of life. He also asserts that bio-sociologically there are four classes of animals.[2]
