Idhayakkani Tamil: இதயக்கனி, is a 1975 Indian Tamil starring M. G. Ramachandran in the lead role, with Pandari Bai, R. S. Manohar and Radha Saluja among others enacting supporting roles. The film is known for political dialogues and songs.

Plot

Idhayakkani is the story of the kind-hearted Mohan (M.G.Ramachandran) whose theory of life is 'equality' and whose puts its practice by sharing equally the income of his estate with his labourers. He has another passion-he wants to serve country-He has joined police force as an officer.he meets a needy girl Lakshmi, and on the advice of and elderly domestic help, he permits her to stay in his house. Toungues start wagging and Mohan decides to marry Lakshmi. However, his happines is short-lived. He gets the shock of his life when he comes to know that he wife is involved in the murder of leading scientist. What is the truth? Did Lakshmi Murder scientist or she is innocent.if so, then who is the culprit? how does Mohan go about finding the truth?
