Ida Lucas

Ida Lucas is a fictional character on The Kids of Degrassi Street and the main character in Ida Makes a Movie the short film which served as the series pilot in 1979. Zoe Newman played Ida Lucas in nine episodes of the series. Dawn Harrision is Ida's best friend Catherine "Cookie" Peters, and Allan Melusi is Fred Lucas, the older brother of Ida.
In Ida Makes a Movie, Ida is a nine-year-old girl who decides to make a movie about garbage for a film contest and has to decide whether to tell the truth when she wins an award after the film is misunderstood.
