General Ichiji Sugita (杉田一次 Sugita Ichiji, March 31, 1904 – April 12, 1993) was a colonel and later general of the Japanese Imperial Army and Japanese Self Defense Forces, respectively. He was a principal participant during the Surrender of Singapore in February 1942.[1]
