Ibstock Community College is a middle school with academy status in the village of Ibstock in Leicestershire, England.

History

The school was built ready for the first 437 pupils to enter the building on September 1, 1925, Mr J.V.Measures was the newly appointed first Headmaster. There was a staff of eight certificated and two certificated assistant teachers together with one student teacher. The log book records: "The building is still in the hands of bricklayers, carpenters and painters, but the classrooms are finished and where there is furniture work may be commenced."

Ibstock Community College is based on the original teaching block, opened in 1978 by then-Principal J.V. Measures. It has since expanded to include recently-redeveloped separate Science and Modern Foreign Languages & Mathematics blocks.

The school has grown rapidly in recent years, with the Mobile Classrooms all replaced during 2005 and 2006. New Science and Languages & Mathematics blocks were opened in 2004 and 2008 respectively, and both are furnished with modern technology.
