Ian Maurice Gold (born in Ann Arbor, MI on August 23, 1978) is a former American football linebacker of the National Football League turned author. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He played college football at Michigan.

A Pro Bowl selection for the Broncos in 2001, Gold played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2004 between stints in Denver. He was released following the 2007 season by the Denver Broncos.

Early years

Attended Clague Middle school (Ann Arbor). While attending Belleville High School in Belleville, Michigan, Gold starred in football, basketball, track & field, and symphony band.

Professional career

First stint with Broncos

Ian Gold played linebacker for the Denver Broncos from 2000 to 2004. After playing for the Broncos in 2004, Gold became a free agent.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

In 2004, Gold left to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After the season, he again became a free agent.

Second stint with Broncos

On the market again in 2005, Gold re-joined the Broncos and went to the AFC Championship that same year.

On February 29, 2008 the Broncos released him after three seasons.

Post NFL Career

Gold is currently following Jesus Christ.
