ITE Group plc (LSE: ITE) is a leading British-based organiser of exhibitions and conferences. It focuses on Russia and other emerging markets. It is headquartered in London and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index. The company was established in the early 1990s when the founders of ITE launched a series of trade events in the new market economies of Russia and the CIS. Today, the Group organises over 230 trade exhibitions and conferences each year in 21 countries and employs over 1,100 staff in 40 offices worldwide.
The company's main focus is business-to-business exhibitions and conferences, although it also publishes a small number of trade magazines. ITE's main industry sectors are: automotive; beauty & cosmetics; building & interiors; construction & machinery; electronic & electrical engineering; engineering industrial technology; fashion, clothing & textiles; food, drink & hospitality; furniture & interiors; healthcare & medical; mining; oil, gas & energy; paper, print & packaging; security; transport & logistics; and travel & tourism.
History
The business was founded in 1991.[2] It was first listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1997. In 2008 it acquired Primexpo NW LLC, a conference organiser based in St Petersburg[3] and has subsequently acquired further businesses in Moscow (MVK),[4] Krasnodar (Krasnodar LLC),[5] Istanbul (YEMF and Platform Exhibitions)[6][7] Kyiv (Autoexpo and Beautex),[8][9] Mumbai (ABEC),[10] and Kuala Lumpur (Trade Link).[11]
