Hydroelectricity in Albania

Albania is the biggest a producer of hydroelectricity in the world by percentage (90% as of 2011) and by own production (100%).[1] Albania aims to increase its production to 100%.[2] Some of the projects underway include Skavica, up to 350 MW, Devolli 400 MW, Vjosa up to 400 MW, Kalivaci and Ashta 48 MW hydropower plants, Valbona and Tropoje, 40 MW.
