Hydrangeic acid is a stilbenoid found in the leaves of Hydrangea macrophylla.[1]
Hydrangeic acid is being investigated as a possible anti-diabetic drug as it significantly lowered blood glucose, triglyceride and free fatty acid levels in laboratory animals.[1]
