Hvozdec is a village and municipality (obec) in Brno-Country District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 3.59 square kilometres (1.39 sq mi), and has a population of 218 (as at 2005).
Hvozdec lies approximately 15 kilometres (9 mi) west of Brno and 172 km (107 mi) south-east of Prague.
