Huw Bennett (born 11 June 1983) is a former Wales international rugby union player. His usual position was at hooker.

Starting his club rugby in Clevedon, Somerset, Bennett has since represented Wales at both under-19 and under-21 level. He made his debut for Wales against Ireland in 2003, and was included in the squad for the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia. He played in the games against Canada and Tonga. In 2004 he played against Scotland and France in the 2004 Six Nations Championship. He was also named in the squad for the 2004 tour to Argentina and South Africa and made his first international start in the second Test against Argentina. Bennett was included in the squad for the 2008 Six Nations Championship and started in Wales's first two games, against England and Scotland and the deciding game against France.

On 18 January 2010 he was named in the 35 man Wales national Squad for the 2010 Six Nations tournament.[1] He started in the first two games of the 2012 Six Nations Championship, where the second game, against Scotland, was the last game of rugby he played.

Bennett retired from playing in June 2013 due to recurring Achilles injury. [2]
