Hutchinson is a census-designated place and unincorporated community located within Harmony Township in Warren County, New Jersey, United States, that was created as part of the 2010 United States Census.[8][9][10] As of the 2010 Census, the CDP's population was 135.[4]
Geography
Hutchinson is located at 40°46′54″N 75°07′28″W / 40.781648°N 75.124455°W (40.781648,-75.124455). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP had a total area of 0.198 square miles (0.513 km2), of which, 0.138 square miles (0.358 km2) of it is land and 0.060 square miles (0.155 km2) of it (30.24%) is water.[1][2]
Demographics
Census 2010
At the 2010 United States Census, there were 135 people, 54 households, and 40.01 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 976.3 per square mile (377.0 /km2). There were 65 housing units at an average density of 470.1 per square mile (181.5 /km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 94.07% (127) White, 0.00% (0) Black or African American, 2.22% (3) Native American, 0.00% (0) Asian, 0.00% (0) Pacific Islander, 0.00% (0) from other races, and 3.70% (5) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.00% (0) of the population.[4]
There were 54 households of which 29.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.3% were married couples living together, 13.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.9% were non-families. 20.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.50 and the average family size was 2.88.[4]
In the CDP, 21.5% of the population were under the age of 18, 5.2% from 18 to 24, 20.7% from 25 to 44, 34.1% from 45 to 64, and 18.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 45.9 years. For every 100 females there were 82.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.3 males.[4]
