Hurşut Meriç (born 31 July 1983) is a Dutch-Turkish professional footballer who currently plays for Çaykur Rizespor. Meric plays primarily as a left winger,[1] but he can also play as a right winger and as a striker.
Career
Born in Amsterdam, Meriç played with the youth teams of SDZ, Blauw-Wit, DWS and AZ. His senior career began with amateur teams EDO and Türkiyemspor, before turning professional with ADO Den Haag in 2007. Meriç moved to Turkish side Gençlerbirliği in 2009, and he won the "Fans' Player of the Year Award" for the 2009–10 season there.
