Hundvåg is an island and borough of the city of Stavanger, Norway.
In addition to the island Hundvåg, other islands are Sølyst, Grasholmen, Engøy, Buøy, Bjørnøy, Roaldsøy and Ormøy. These islands are connected to mainland Stavanger by the Stavanger City Bridge.
Neighbourhoods
Although the borders of neighbourhoods do not correspond exactly to the borough borders, Hundvåg roughly consists of the following neighbourhoods (delområder): Buøy and Hundvåg.
Politics
Hundvåg has a borough council (bydelsutvalg). The council consists of 11 members, with the following party allegiance:
- 3 from the Labour Party (Arbeiderpartiet)
- 1 from the Christian Democratic Party (Kristelig Folkeparti)
- 1 from the Liberal Party (Venstre)
- 4 from the Conservative Party (Høyre)
- 2 from the Progress Party (Fremskrittspartiet)
