Humberto Cota (born February 7, 1979 in San Luis Río Colorado, Mexico) is a Mexican professional baseball catcher who is currently with the Arizona Diamondbacks. His debut in Major League Baseball occurred on September 9, 2001 with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

After signing a minor league contract with the Washington Nationals during the 2007-2008 offseason, Cota refused an assignment to minor league camp during spring training and became a free agent. He then signed a minor league deal with the Colorado Rockies.

On May 28, 2008, Cota was suspended 50 games for failing a drug test.[1] He became a free agent at the end of the season and signed a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training with the Cincinnati Reds on February 2, 2009.[2] He was released in March, 2009.
