Humam Tariq Faraj Na'oush (Arabic: همام طارق فرج نعوش, born 10 February 1996 in Adhamiyah, Baghdad, Iraq), is an Iraqi footballer who plays as an Attacking midfielder for Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya in Iraqi Premier League.
Player information
Tariq, the midfielder with the long mane of hair, provides silky inspiration from the centre of the park for practically every Iraq attack. Tareq's undoubted footballing gifts have been superbly honed and developed, and for a youngster aged just 17, he boasts extraordinary vision and a remarkable instinct for the transition from defence to attack.[1] He is considered to be one of the most promising prospects for the Iraqi national team, and has shown himself to be a very talented attack minded midfielder. He was one of the main players on the Iraqi U19 squad who sealed qualification to the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup and reached the final of the 2012 AFC U-19 Championship, losing on penalty kicks against Korea. Due to his superb performances during the U19 Asian cup, Humam has been linked with moves to several clubs such as Lille OSC, Malmö FF, Feyenoord, Al Ahli Club (Dubai), CS Sfaxien and Beşiktaş J.K. He chose to stay with his current club until after the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup to see what kind of offers he will receive then.
International debut
In December 2012, Tariq made his international debut against Tunisia in a friendly match, which ended with a 2–1 win for Tunisia. Tariq, on that day, became the youngest player in the history of the Iraqi football team to wear the Iraqi shirt at age 16.
When Hakeem Shaker was appointed as the coach of the Iraq national football team, he relied heavily on many players from his Iraqi U19 squad who played very well in the U19 Asian cup. Due to this, Humam Tariq became a regular starter under Hakeem Shaker.
