Hugo Alfonso González Durán (born 1 August 1990) is a Mexican footballer. He currently plays for Club América of the Liga MX.

Career

America

Hugo Gonzalez was selected as Américas 3rd choice goalkeeper during the Apertura 2011 behind Leonín Pineda and Armando Navarrete. America finished 17th place that tournament. After the disappointing season and a series of trades and loans he was promoted to 2nd choice goalkeeper behind the team's new goalkeeper Moisés Muñoz for Clausura 2012. That season America finished in the semifinals with Gonzalez playing one game in which Muñoz was injured. After the new format of Liga MX he saw an opportunity to play games in the Copa MX. After a car crash in which involved Moises Muñoz he was expected to play the first 5 games of Apertura 2012. He also played the 8 Cup games in which America was involved until elimination. After Muñoz recovered of his injuries Gonzalez was expected to be relegated to bench but he wasn't.
