Hugh Bellot

Hugh Bellot (1542–1596) was bishop of Bangor and then bishop of Chester. He assisted William Morgan in his Welsh language translation of the Bible. He was also a reputed misogynist.[1]
Life
He graduated B.A. at Christ's College, Cambridge in 1564; he then became M.A. and fellow of Jesus College, Cambridge in 1567.[2][3] He became bishop of Bangor in 1585;[4] and bishop of Chester in 1595.
