Hubley is a residential community within the Halifax Regional Municipality Nova Scotia on Trunk 3 between Upper Tantallon and Timberlea 12.64 kilometers from Halifax

Sheldrake Lake and Lake of the Woods, generally, are affluent communities. Citizens of this community include the commissioner of police of nearby Halifax, the Murphy family, the Bowie family; the Sobeys family and the Baker family. Every year the community hosts Christmas and other festive decorating contests.
