Huangsha Station (Chinese: 黄沙站) is a station of Line 1 of the Guangzhou Metro and it was the first Line 1 station which platform screen doors are installed. It started operations in 28 June 1997. It was the terminus of Line 1 when Guangzhou Metro started the service in 1997. It was situated at the underground of the junction of Datong Lu (Chinese: 大同路; literally "Great Harmony Road") and Liuersan Lu (Chinese: 六二三路; literally "23 June Road") in Liwan District. It is near Shamian Island (沙面岛), where White Swan Hotel (白天鹅宾馆) and many western style buildings are there.[1][2] It became an interchange station between Line 1 and Line 6 of Guangzhou Metro in 2013.[3]
