Hu Die (Chinese: 胡蝶; pinyin: Hú Dié; 1907 - April 23, 1989), also known as Butterfly Wu (蝶 dié means "butterfly"), was a famous Chinese actress born in Shanghai. Her name at birth was Hu Ruihua (胡瑞华). She was voted the "Movie Queen" in 1933, beating Chen Yumei and the legendary Ruan Lingyu.
