Nitra district in the Nitra region

Hruboňovo is a village and municipality in the Nitra District in western central Slovakia, in the Nitra Region.^[1]

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1247.

The village lies at an altitude of 155 metres and covers an area of 11.551 km². It has a population of about 485 people.

The village is approximately 100% Slovak.

The village has a public library and football pitch.
