Hrušky (German Birnbaum) is a village and municipality (obec) in Břeclav District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 15.91 square kilometres (6.14 sq mi), and has a population of 1,458 (as at 3 July 2006).
Hrušky lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) north-east of Břeclav, 53 km (33 mi) south-east of Brno, and 235 km (146 mi) south-east of Prague.
History
The first written mention of the village dates from 1368.
