Lee Ho-won (Hangul:이호원 ; Hanja:李浩沅; born March 28, 1991), commonly known by his stage name Hoya is a South Korean singer, rapper and actor. He's the main dancer, vocalist, and rapper of the 7-member group Infinite which debuted under Woollim Entertainment on 2010.[1]

Biography

Hoya was born in Busan, South Korea. He dropped out of high school to pursue his dream as a singer. He auditioned after he dropped out and ended up in his current agency, Woollim Entertainment. He was a former JYP Entertainment trainee.[2]

Career

Infinite

Hoya made his debut in 2010 as the lead rapper and one of the main dancers of Infinite.

Solo career

On April 30, 2012, it was briefly announced that Hoya will be making his debut as an actor through tvN's new sitcom. It was later denied by his agency saying, "There's nothing confirmed yet". Weeks later, Hoya confirmed himself that he will be trying his hand on acting on the drama Reply 1997.[3][4] He played the role of Kang Joon Hee who harbors a secret crush on an unexpected character. The show gained a massive praise from both viewers and critics.

He briefly participated on a one team unit, Dynamic BLACK which performed on SBS Gayo Daejun on December 2012.[5]

On January 10, 2013, he, along with Dongwoo, debuted as Infinite H the first official sub-unit of Infinite. They released their first mini album "Fly High".[6]
