Cover & parodies

A parody of the song, "Stole My Car" was created by then-Rock 99FM Rotorua announcer Dene Young in 1996. The radio station went off-air later that year. The song was later released to other radio stations around New Zealand and was included on Stables Label Volume 3 (an album released by ZM) in 2003. There was also "I Bit His Ear" a parody song about the Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield ear biting incident.

A cover of this song was performed by a Montreal band called The Diskettes.
